My Art History
Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, I graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 2004 with a major in Advertising and Graphic Design. During my time there, I developed a unique digital art style that combines computer-generated graphics, digital photography, and the manipulation of various paint mediums and styles.
My journey as an artist began at a young age with a deep love for fashion, photography and portraiture, which continues to influence my creative work today. For me, creating art is more than just a profession—it's a means of self-care and self expression. Through my artwork, I aim to reflect the beauty and richness of Black culture and life from an African American perspective. I strive to celebrate the vibrancy, strength, and diversity of my community, offering viewers a glimpse into the world through my eyes.
One of my greatest passions is merging my love for art with the cutting-edge methods and possibilities of the digital age. I seamlessly integrate traditional artistic techniques with modern technology, creating pieces that are both timeless and contemporary. This innovative approach not only showcases my technical skills but also my deep commitment to exploring new artistic frontiers.
